Child benefit is given to all families regardless of their income & marital status, that live in Cyprus and for the children that live under the same roof and fall under the below categories:

If the child has Cypriot nationality and one of the parents is Cypriot, you only need to fill the child befit form in once and it will be paid automatically each year until the child is 18.
Non Cypriots may have to request child benefit each year to ensure that the parent is still resident here and proof from the school that the child is attending there.

For non Cypriot residents
Attach Immigration Permit (yellow slip) copies of birth certificate in English or Greek language (other languages must be translated by an official to either of those languages), and verification from your local muchtar (village mayor) that your underage children who don't attend school reside with you.
In addition to the above for children that reach an age that attend school you must submit verification from the child's school EVERY YEAR to receive child benefits. The school provide you with this form.

For DIVORCED Parents child benefit request form (in Greek) CLICK HERE this must be taken to a court of law for as it acts as a sworn statement.
Birth Grants that have NOT been paid by the Social Security Office for Single Mothers.
You can receive the birth grant from the government if social security have not already paid you, Cypriot mothers will need to attach their ID card, child's birth certificate and a sworn affidavit whereas foreign mothers who don't have an Cypriot ID card will need to attach a copy of the Alien Card (yellow slip) instead.
